I’ve been asked this more than a few times by friends and colleagues.
And while it may be surprising – this move felt like the most natural next step.
After decades in public accounting, I reached a turning point. The pandemic, a late-in-life divorce, remote work, and the emotional toll of constantly multitasking and juggling roles and responsibilities finally caught up with me. Like many, I realized that working harder wasn’t the answer anymore. And neither was retirement.
I started asking deeper questions:
👉 What does true well-being really look like?
👉 Where do we go when our coping skills start to break down?
👉 How do we build lives rooted in presence—not just productivity?
👉 When digital noise fills every moment—where do we go to find peace?”
That journey led to ReNewNM Therapy.
Together with my wife—also a CPA—what started as a personal reckoning turned into a mission: to create a space where people can slow down, reconnect, and renew. A place that brings together both structure and soul.
As CPAs, we helped people navigate financial stress, compliance challenges, business growth, and major life transitions. But behind every spreadsheet, there were deeper stories—of burnout, identity struggles, and quiet fears.
We came to understand: what people often need isn’t just advice or answers. They need space, support, and understanding
So yes—two CPAs started a therapy clinic. Because in a world that never stops, we all need a place to pause, reflect, and renew.
We’re bringing decades of financial insight to a new chapter in mental health. Follow along, the journey is just beginning.
