In a world overwhelmed with email, status updates, smartphones, and push technology, the speed at which we “connect” can seem to only reinforce a disconnect with ourselves and others. Creating space for true connection and reflection is essential to finding and staying true to ourselves. ReNewNM was created to instill a renewed focus on self, connection, and community. We are business minds and caregivers, connectors and innovators, working in concert to create a space for continual reflection, understanding, growth, and clarity.

“My goal is to help clients navigate life’s challenges, heal from difficult experiences, develop effective coping strategies, and reconnect with a sense of joy and possibility”
I am a Licensed Master’s Social Worker in the state of New Mexico with more than 30 years of experience serving children, adolescents, and families across the state. I earned my Master of Social Work from New Mexico Highlands University and my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Human Services from University of New Mexico.
Throughout my career, I have worked across diverse settings including academia, public health, school-based health centers, rural healthcare outreach, and large healthcare systems leading quality improvement initiatives. I have presented on pediatric healthcare quality initiatives throughout New Mexico at local, state, and national levels. In addition, I have trained healthcare providers statewide in evidence-based adolescent healthcare practices and pediatric clinical quality improvement methods. At this stage in my career, I am excited to return to my roots, working directly with individuals in a clinical setting where meaningful change happens one person at a time.
My practice serves adolescents through seniors, with a special focus on individuals navigating life-stage transitions, including those exploring gender identity. I bring a solution-focused, person-centered, and strengths-based approach to therapy. Grounded in evidence-based practices and a trauma-informed perspective and informed by an understanding of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), my goal is to help clients navigate life’s challenges, heal from difficult experiences, develop effective coping strategies, and reconnect with a sense of joy and possibility.
My clinical training includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness-based approaches, Motivational Interviewing, and other therapeutic modalities that support lasting growth and resilience.
Outside of my professional work, I value community involvement and staying connected to causes that matter. I volunteer with organizations such as the New Mexico Alliance for School-Based Health Care and groups supporting the LGBTQ+ community. When I’m not working or volunteering, I enjoy spending time on adventures with family and friends (including two very cute dogs!) or tending to my garden.
