In a world overwhelmed with email, status updates, smartphones, and push technology, the speed at which we “connect” can seem to only reinforce a disconnect with ourselves and others. Creating space for true connection and reflection is essential to finding and staying true to ourselves. ReNewNM was created to instill a renewed focus on self, connection, and community. We are business minds and caregivers, connectors and innovators, working in concert to create a space for continual reflection, understanding, growth, and clarity.
“I tailor my approach to meet each client’s unique needs, incorporating play-based techniques, mindfulness strategies, and creative interventions when working with younger clients.”
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of New Mexico and received my Master’s Degree in Social Work from New Mexico Highlands University. My professional experience has focused on working with children, adolescents, and families, particularly those navigating trauma, anxiety, relational challenges, and emotional regulation difficulties.
I have extensive experience helping individuals process and heal from trauma. Throughout my career, I have worked with clients impacted by adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), family disruptions, and other forms of trauma, guiding them in developing resilience, self-awareness, and healthy coping strategies. As part of my training, I completed multiple internships and a fellowship through the Maternal Child Health Bureau at the University of New Mexico Pediatric Pulmonary Center, where I worked to improve health outcomes for infants, children, and adolescents with chronic respiratory conditions. This experience deepened my understanding of the connection between early childhood adversity and health disparities, strengthening my passion for working with trauma-affected children and families.
I am trained in Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Circle of Security, and I integrate attachment-based, trauma-informed, and strengths-focused approaches in my work. My goal is to create a safe and supportive space where individuals can explore emotions, build self-confidence, and develop healthy coping strategies to navigate life’s challenges.
While I enjoy working with clients of all ages, I have a deep passion for helping children and adolescents feel empowered, heard, and understood as they navigate developmental, emotional, and relational experiences. I tailor my approach to meet each client’s unique needs, incorporating play-based techniques, mindfulness strategies, and creative interventions when working with younger clients.
In addition to clinical work, I am an approved clinical supervisor and have had the opportunity to mentor and provide supervision to interns, supporting the growth and development of future social workers.
