In a world overwhelmed with email, status updates, smartphones, and push technology, the speed at which we “connect” can seem to only reinforce a disconnect with ourselves and others. Creating space for true connection and reflection is essential to finding and staying true to ourselves. ReNewNM was created to instill a renewed focus on self, connection, and community. We are business minds and caregivers, connectors and innovators, working in concert to create a space for continual reflection, understanding, growth, and clarity.
“It is my true calling to work with a variety of people, learning about their individuality and strengths, and supporting them to be the most genuine versions of themselves that they love and are proud of.”
I received a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Western New Mexico University, and have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New Mexico since 2017. My professional career hasn’t always been in mental/behavioral healthcare. I have experience working in the fields of law, real estate, state government, case management, and social services. This variety of experiences has equipped me to better connect with my clients and have a greater understanding of the tools and resources available to them. I have had the honor and privilege to work with various client populations that include individuals of all ages, couples, families, and groups focused on relapse prevention, parenting skills, and mindfulness. I work from a strengths-based perspective, focusing on depression, anxiety, substance use, relationships, family of origin, PTSD, anger management, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, stress management, parenting skills/styles, and mindfulness. It is my true calling to work with a variety of people, learning about their individuality and strengths, and supporting them to be the most genuine versions of themselves that they love and are proud of.
I am a strong advocate for those in the LGBTQ+ community as well as those with developmental and intellectual different-abilities. I have completed training and continue to learn new skills/techniques in the modalities of CBT, DBT, mindfulness, grief/loss, parenting skills, gender-affirming care, neurodivergence, substance abuse, mindfulness, personality disorders, structured problem-solving, empty chair work, and role-play/behavioral rehearsal. I am also a board-approved clinical supervisor for licensed masters-level counselors and social workers and enjoy supporting and helping others grow in their professional careers.
I am a native New Mexican, born in Belen, and raised in rural Veguita, where I grew up on a small farm, being the oldest sibling to three sisters and one brother. I now live in Los Lunas where I find the comforts of ‘town’ in a country setting. I enjoy spending time with my spouse, our five children, and our four dogs. My favorite forms of self-care include jiu-jitsu, camping, hiking, or reading my favorite book series over and over. During late spring through early fall, I find peace, comfort, and healing in cultivating and caring for my vegetable garden and the other greenery in and around our home. I am always up for an outdoor adventure in our beautiful state, in all seasons.
At ReNewNM, we know that we are all on a journey of the human experience.
We are committed to ensuring that every client receives knowledgeable and compassionate support, grounded in a deep understanding of mental and emotional wellness.
By prioritizing personal growth and self-awareness, our therapists are better equipped to guide clients on their own journeys toward healing and self-discovery. Your well-being is at the heart of everything we do, and we strive to create a space where you feel understood, supported, and empowered.
