I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in the state of New Mexico, with a Clinical Social Work degree from New Mexico Highlands University. I also hold an undergraduate degree in Elementary and Special Education. My professional and academic background has provided me with a strong foundation in working with children and families, sparking my passion for early childhood development and parenting.
I was born in Silver City, New Mexico, and come from a wonderfully large family. I am married to my high school sweetheart, and together we are raising three amazing children. I believe that my culture and strong family support have been the foundation of my growth and success. My life experiences continue to shape my work and inspire my hope to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families.
In my practice, I draw from attachment-based theory as well as humanistic and strengths-based perspectives. I believe in meeting clients where they are, honoring their unique stories, and empowering them to recognize and build upon their inherent strengths. A special part of my work includes my therapy dog, Maisie, who plays an important role in creating a safe, supportive, and healing environment. Together, Maisie and I look forward to supporting the mental health and well-being of New Mexicans.
