I am currently pursuing my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Colorado Christian University. Before entering the counseling profession, I served as a Certified Professional Midwife and elementary school teacher after earning my Bachelor’s degree in Music and Education from Trinity Western University (2003). These experiences, along with living and traveling overseas, have given me a deep appreciation for the uniqueness of every story and a passion for diversity and building cultural awareness.

My therapeutic approach is client-centered and eclectic, tailoring each session to your unique needs. I believe that true healing addresses the whole person, physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Every person has purpose, dignity, belonging, value, and the capacity for peace, hope, joy, and an abundant life through encouragement and restoration. Focusing on your individual strengths and qualities, I provide a safe, non-judgmental environment to explore mixed emotions using holistic and experiential techniques. Deeply compassionate and empathetic, I consider it a privilege to walk alongside you in this journey and hope to empower you to discover the beauty and resilience already present within through reflection of meaning, including values and core beliefs, goalsetting, mindfulness, and narrative therapy. I am also trained in Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Expressive Arts Therapy, and I incorporate techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Gestalt therapies with a desire to continue to build my therapeutic tool belt! I am currently under the supervision of ReNew’s Jenny Failla, LPCC.

I enjoy working with adolescents, young adults, individuals, families, groups and couples from a variety of cultures and backgrounds within the state of New Mexico. When not doing homework, you may find me spending time with my family and my faith community, as well as singing, teaching, writing and arranging music, gardening, traveling, hiking, playing pickleball, and getting distracted by our cockatiel, Gussie.
