    Non-Independently Licensed Mental Health Therapist

    ReNewNM is for clinicians who want to deepen their craft while doing work that matters. We’re seeking non-independently licensed clinicians who value thoughtful supervision and are ready to grow into their work with support. Our clinic is intentionally designed to help developing clinicians translate learning into practice through supervised, real-world clinical experience. You’ll be trusted to do meaningful work with clients while receiving the structure, guidance, and feedback needed to grow toward independent practice feeling prepared.  

    What This Role Is Really About

    This role is designed for developing clinicians who want to translate learning into meaningful clinical practice while working toward independent licensure. You’ll provide therapy to individuals, couples, families, and/or groups under the supervision of an independently licensed clinician, with real responsibility and thoughtful guidance.

    You’ll be trusted with client care while receiving consistent supervision, feedback, and structure, so you can grow into your work feeling supported, prepared, and confident.

    What We Offer

    • W-2 employment (not contract)
    • $33–$40 per client billable hour
    • Paid administrative time ($20/hour)
      (including supervision, team meetings, and required admin)
    • Expected caseload of 26 completed sessions per week, averaged quarterly
    • Flexible-time roles available (18–25 sessions per week)
    • In-person or hybrid telehealth options
    • No on-call requirements
    • Regular individual and/or group supervision aligned with licensure requirements

    What You’ll Be Doing

    • Providing ethical, client-centered therapy under clinical supervision
    • Conducting assessments and developing treatment plans tailored to client needs and goals
    • Maintaining timely, accurate, and confidential documentation in alignment with agency and regulatory standards
    • Participating in weekly supervision and submitting documentation for supervisory review as required
    • Consulting promptly with supervisors and the Clinical Director regarding high-risk or emergent situations
    • Supporting clients through emotional, psychological, and behavioral challenges
    • Collaborating with colleagues to foster a healthy, respectful, and client-centered clinic culture
    • Engaging in agency trainings and continuing education to strengthen clinical skills

    Qualifications for the Role

    You may be a great fit if you:

    • Hold a New Mexico associate-level license (LMSW or LMHC) and a current Medicaid number
    • Are actively working toward independent licensure
    • Have practicum or internship experience in a clinical setting
    • Value supervision, feedback, and reflective practice
    • Are curious, thoughtful, and committed to developing strong clinical judgment
    • Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Carry professional liability insurance
    • Care about doing good work well while also caring for yourself

    Compensation is based on experience, training, and qualifications. As a W-2 employee, ReNewNM covers many costs typically absorbed by independent contractors.
